Discover "Where Three States Meet"

Harpers Ferry, WV

Harpers Ferry is the dramatic little town tucked in where the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers converge — a National Historical Park frozen in 19th-century charm, surrounded by some of the best hiking in the mid-Atlantic. Our home, Mountain Haven, sits just up the road in Knoxville, Maryland, tucked into three private wooded acres above the rivers — close enough to wander Harpers Ferry's cobblestone streets, far enough away to feel like your own mountain retreat.

This is Appalachian Trail country. Hike to Jefferson Rock or Maryland Heights for sweeping views over the rivers and town below, paddle or tube the Potomac, or just relax with a glass from one of the nearby vineyards in Maryland's Catoctin wine region. Shepherdstown and Harpers Ferry both offer small-town food scenes worth the short drive — think Appalachian small plates, taco trucks, and breweries with a view.
