Discover "The Playground of the Potomac"

Colonial Beach, VA

Colonial Beach is a laid-back waterfront town on the Potomac River, home to the second-longest beach in Virginia and a small-town charm that feels worlds away from the city — even though DC is just a 90-minute drive. Our home, Beach Haven, is a short walk from the beach, boardwalk, and the heart of town, with a huge fenced backyard and fire pit of its own.

Read about the the town's history here.

Spend your days on the beach, paddleboarding the Potomac, or fishing from the town pier, then wander into town for fresh seafood, tacos, or a scoop from one of two beloved ice cream shops. The boardwalk and waterfront tiki bars come alive in the evenings, while history lovers can visit George Washington's birthplace or James Monroe's birthplace, both just minutes away.
