In the words of a guest, we are “superduper hosts"! Most of our reviews mention our hosting (and how squakey clean our homes are!). A Haven Away is more than a business to us - we are travelers ourselves and enjoy sharing our homes and towns we love with fellow travelers.

Blair starting hosting his apartment in Washington, DC in 2012 when he started traveling the world to set up an organization that works on transparency and accountability - today in 13 countries! Blair grew up on a farm in the UK. He moved to DC from the UK for graduate school in 2006.

Nadia is Pakistani-American and grew up in Tennessee, which explains our love for country music, small towns, and all things southern. She works for The Citizens Foundation, which is a school system for out-of-school children in Pakistan.

We hosted our first home together in Islamabad, Pakistan in 2020. It’s been downhill from there. Every home we’ve set up as our own has turned into a vacation rental! Bay Haven was launched in 2021, Beach Haven in 2022, and Capitol Haven and Mountain Haven in 2023.
